There are several questions to ask when deciding which charging station would best suit the needs of your patrons. Commonly it depends on the amount of time a person will be parked at your property. Check out this graphic, or feel free to contact us directly and we would be happy to walk you through the decision making process.
Juice Bar has many options of charging stations available, providing you with the most choice to fit the needs of your property. Our Mini Bar™ for example has the option of a wall mount for facilities where space may be limited. For a complete list of our products and their size, check out our spec sheets located on our product pages or contact our Juice Bar team for suggestions.
Depending on which charging station, the hose length differs.
Please visit the individual product page and see the spec sheets for each charging station.
The Juice Bar charges at a rate of up to 7.2 kilowatts, depending on the capabilities of the car being charged. Most electric cars on the road today charge at either 3.3 or 6.6 kilowatts.
Starting in 2010 ten major automobile manufacturers released electric vehicles across the United States. Electric vehicles provide us with a cleaner environment, reduce our dependence on foreign oil, and allow us to operate vehicles at a lower cost than current gas-powered vehicles. While many people purchasing an electric vehicle will have a charging station installed at their home they will also need to access public charging stations while out on the road. Drivers will need charging stations in public garages, workplaces, sports venues, hospital parking lots, retail stores, restaurants, cultural recreation centers, and any other location where they will park their cars for extended periods of time.
While Level 2 chargers can fully charge a depleted battery in 4 – 6 hours, most Electric Vehicle users utilizing chargers in public parking garages will only need to “top off” which would mean they only need to use the Juice Bar for 1 – 2 hours. Level 1 chargers can take as much as 8 – 16 hours to fully charge depending on the car and charge of the battery.
At your option! If you wish we can provide both two SAE-J1772 EV Charge Couplers and one or more Level 1 connections such that your charger can charge up to 3 or 4 cars simultaneously.
The level of charging refers to the voltage used by the charging station. Standard outlets in the United States are at 110 – 120 volts. Level 1 charging is done at this voltage. A majority of the electric vehicles released prior to 2010 utilize a Level 1 charging station. Level 1 charging can take as much as 8 – 16 hours to fully charge depending on the car and level of charge on the battery. Level 2 charging uses 220 – 240 volts and typically have a charge time of 4–6 hours to completely charge a vehicle. Level 3 charging uses 440 volts and are a great fit for highway charging, or anywhere a quick charge is needed. The Level 3 charging stations that are currently available can provide 80% of a full charge in fewer than 30 minutes.
Depending on the Level of charge, electricity costs can vary. Electricity costs are minimal regardless of which charging station you decide is right for your property. Per hour cost of Level 1 charging is typically $0.14 per kWh, for example.
Please contact your electrician for available options.

Juice Bars should be located in a highly visible location preferably near the parking attendant booth or entrance to the facility. We recommend you also consider proximity to an electric source.

There are a couple of cues that will let you know the station is not working. The LED backlit Juice Bar words will be off, and/or the GFCI breaker will be tripped, and if you have a Point of Sale system with a screen it will have a message displayed. Our units with no screens will have an indicator light.
This differs greatly as owners have all the choice with Juice Bar charging stations on how they would like to generate revenue and create an income-producing asset. It is up to each owner to decide what is a reasonable rate to charge for the charge, depending on the Level of charging station and electrical costs to the facility. Some owners may prefer to charge a premium for an EV reserved stall, and provide the charge for free. The Juice Bar also allows room for advertising, which can provide revenue from sources looking to brand themselves with your audience and a billboard of sustainability. Contact Us directly and we would be happy to send you an ad revenue comparison chart.
Juice Bar offers our customers the choice whether to charge users or not. Our optional Point of Sale system allows you to choose when you would like to start charging and how much.

Juice Bar’s unique design allows for customization that includes branding, advertising and sponsorship opportunities. Whether you want to strengthen your own brand’s goodwill by supporting a clean initiative, sell advertising space on the unit, or partner with a sponsor to share in the cost, the choice is yours. Suggested advertising rates can range from $200 - $500 per month making the Juice Bar cash flow positive if the buyer is utilizing a lease product to purchase the Juice Bar. Partnering with a sponsor is different than selling advertising on your Juice Bar, as it is a predetermined shared cost model. These opportunities come in addition to the option of charging a fee or offering free EV charges to your customer. Yes. There is leasing available beginning as low as $69 per month, depending on the type of charging station. Installation costs can also be bundled into lease payments so that these costs can be shaped to fit operating budgets rather than capital budgets.
Federal and State rebates can provide incentives and / or funding for the cost of the charging station, including the charging unit, engineering and installation. Contact us to inquire about current government programs and qualifications.
